What’s up with the pictures?

Ok. I know. The pictures on this site have grass and pastures, but no wine. What’s up with that? I just created this blog and plan on customizing the look and feel as quickly as I can. Any suggestions on pictures are always welcome. If you have a great shot you want to share, feel free to send it to me at max@(remove this part)winereview.org. Hopefully, the current lack of artistic flavor on the site will inspire me to take a trip up to Napa and Sonoma very soon.

Introduction

I’m excited about finally launching my WineReview.org blog. I hope to share my thoughts on wine and experience building my new wine cellar. Tonight is a great night to get started. After work I met a friend at the Vintage Wine Merchants in Santana Row, which is one of my favorite wine spots in the South Bay (San Jose, CA). I suggest you go there if you are in San Jose and are looking for a great place to go with friends for some wine or want to find a great selection for any event.
One of their recent wine club selections (for low end club) is a 2005 Spanish wine called Mano A Mano. It made from Tempranillo grapes (never heard of them) and is a Merlot-like wine. Decent tannins, very drinkable and does well with grilled meats (good summer wine).
